Design Your Life
Design has impacted your life more than you may realize.
The phone in your pocket, the search engine you use, and the chair you're sitting in right now were at one point, just designs. Concepts that became reality. So what if I told you that design can be for more than consumer products or services?
It's time to create a blueprint for your life. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? Bill Burnett, Executive Director of the Design Program at Stanford, introduced me to the concept of "life design" in a TEDx Talk. By creating 3 separate life designs, you can visualize your goals, track them, and achieve them.
This concept helped me realize how easy it is to become a "floater". By designing my life, I've been able to locate areas that are lacking. Life design helped me remember to never settle for less than my ideal.
So what do you all think? What's the first step in your life design?
